Bachelor in Dentistry

Tuition is 2,300 EUR per year.

Dentistry is the study and practice of diagnosing, treating, and preventing conditions affecting the teeth, gums, and oral cavity. The curriculum typically begins with foundational medical sciences such as anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, and microbiology before progressing to dental-specific subjects including oral pathology, periodontology, restorative dentistry, oral surgery, orthodontics, and prosthodontics. Students train extensively in preclinical laboratories using dental models before moving into supervised clinical practice, where they treat patients under the guidance of qualified faculty. The program builds both the scientific knowledge needed to understand disease processes in the mouth and the fine manual skills required for procedures such as fillings, extractions, and prosthetic work. Graduates typically work as general dentists in private practice, public health clinics, or hospital dental departments, and many pursue further specialization in fields such as orthodontics, oral surgery, or pediatric dentistry through postgraduate training. This bachelor program spans 5 years and is delivered in English at European University of Lefke, located in Lefke, Northern Cyprus. The 5-year length reflects the extensive combination of basic sciences, preclinical laboratory training, and supervised clinical practice that dental education requires before graduates are prepared to treat patients independently. Students typically spend the earlier years on foundational medical and dental sciences before transitioning to clinical rotations in the later years of the program. Lefke's international academic setting, combined with English-medium instruction, supports students preparing for licensure examinations and dental careers in various countries after graduation.
