Master in Digital Sciences (Master of Science)

The Digital Sciences Master's programme at TH Köln (Technische Hochschule Köln) covers Computer Science, Information Science, and Data Science, and is designed for students building on a completed Bachelor's degree in one of these or a closely related area. The programme emphasises individualised learning paths, interdisciplinary project work, and agile didactic approaches that cross disciplinary and faculty boundaries. Students complete the degree over three or four semesters depending on the assessed equivalence of their prior qualification; for most international applicants the standard duration is four semesters. Three of the four specialisations are available to international students: Business Information Systems, Data and Information Science, and Software Architecture. The IT Management specialisation requires German at C1 level and is restricted to German-speaking students. Degree planning is guided by minimum ECTS thresholds across six focus areas, with a broad set of elective modules available in English. Courses are held at two locations: Gummersbach and Cologne. The programme is based at TH Köln in Gummersbach, Germany.
