Diploma in Civil Engineering

The Diploma in Civil Engineering covers structural design, geotechnical engineering, transportation and water technology, preparing students to contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects such as Changi Airport Terminal 5 and new MRT lines. Teaching brings in smart building systems, automation and Building Information Modelling for sustainable, interconnected structures. The three-year course opens with geomatics, structural mechanics and civil engineering construction, moves through reinforced concrete and steel design, geotechnical engineering and hydrology and hydraulics, and closes with transportation engineering, water technology and an integrated project plus internship. Graduates move into civil and structural engineering roles, or progress to engineering degrees at local or overseas universities; SP's planned intake for 2026 is 100 places.
