Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering

The Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (DEEE) covers biomedical engineering, communication technologies, microelectronics, power engineering and robotics. Students work in advanced labs and complete an industry internship alongside project work that builds technical competency across these areas and exposes them to both hardware design and software-driven systems. The three-year course opens with Digital Electronics and Network Fundamentals, then moves into Circuit Theory, Microcontroller Applications and elective modules before an internship. Graduates enter telecommunications, control systems and renewable-energy roles, or progress to engineering degrees; SP's planned intake for 2026 is 185 places, one of the largest full-time intakes at the polytechnic.
