Diploma in Facilities Management

The Diploma in Facilities Management covers building systems, sustainability and digital tools such as IoT, sensors and Building Information Modelling for managing modern buildings and estates. Students study asset enhancement strategy, fire safety and strata management alongside the technical and digital skills the field increasingly demands. The three-year course opens with fundamentals of facilities management, structure and fabric and IT and data analysis, moves through mechanical and electrical services, town council and strata management and asset enhancement strategy, and closes with an integrated project, digital technologies for smart cities and an internship. Graduates move into facilities, estate or asset management roles, or progress to related degrees; SP's planned intake for 2026 is 80 places.
