Doctoral Programme in Applied Sciences

Kochi University's Applied Sciences Doctoral Programme runs for 3 years and is home to the Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory. It aims to develop advanced interdisciplinary expertise in basic and applied science, and to connect research outcomes to innovation and societal implementation. Students are prepared for careers in research, industry, or public service.

Candidates from a range of disciplines work together to solve complex problems in four fields: mathematical and physical information science, biological science, life and environmental engineering, and disaster prevention engineering, underpinned by cross-disciplinary collaboration.
