This multidisciplinary doctoral programme covers all specialties in clinical medicine, including dentistry. Research is carried out through the Institute of Clinical Medicine and the Institute of Dentistry. To complete the degree, candidates must fulfil the studies set out in the degree structure — covering transferable skills and discipline-specific components — and submit an approved doctoral thesis. Studies begin in January 2026 and the programme runs for up to four years. It is based at the University of Eastern Finland campus in Kuopio, Finland.
