The Doctoral Programme in the Humanities at the University of Helsinki brings together all the humanities research fields represented at the university. The programme hosts an extensive research community that examines human experience across different parts of the world and different eras, from prehistory to the present and the future. Alongside foundational humanities research, the programme supports multidisciplinary work in which humanistic perspectives engage with other disciplines. The programme runs for four years from September 2026. The programme is based at the University of Helsinki in Helsinki, Finland.
