Philosophiæ doctor, Ph. D.

This programme is for students who hold a master's degree or its equivalent in telecommunications, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field. You will join a research team focused on wireless communications, optical or hybrid communications, and sensory communications. The programme runs full-time and requires you to complete a thesis, exams, and optional courses over several years.

You will study advanced topics such as digital signal processing, stochastic processes, digital communications, network protocols, distributed systems, and speech recognition. Your work will involve designing and testing communication systems, analyzing performance, and developing new solutions. A key part of the programme is identifying a research topic and working under the supervision of a faculty member.

Admission is conditional on securing a supervisor. Applications are accepted year-round, with deadlines of March 30 for autumn, November 1 for winter, and March 1 for summer. The programme is taught in French, but language courses are available for non-francophone students.
