About Master in DU – Risques côtiers et territoires résilients

Graduates go on to improve the resilience of coastal territories and populations, a skill much in demand in the context of climate change. The Diplôme Universitaire (DU) — Risques côtiers et territoires résilients is taught by experts from the Observatoire du littoral Nout’bord Mer at the Université de La Réunion, with input from the Bureau de Recherches Géologiques et Minières (BRGM) and the Direction de l’Environnement, de l’Aménagement et du Logement (DEAL). Students will study coastal environments, the links between biodiversity and coastal hazards, and strategies for reducing vulnerability to climatic changes. This course is specifically for Science teachers, or those with a background in teaching Geography or Developmental Sustainability.
