Dutch as a Foreign Language in an Academic Context

This program is designed for non-Dutch-speaking students who want to prepare for studying in Dutch. It offers a full-time, intensive study experience over one year, starting from absolute beginner-level and progressing to Level 5. The program includes language acquisition and cultural activities, making it ideal for students eager to immerse themselves in Flemish society and academic culture.

Students will engage in 480 contact hours, which equates to 60 credits. The curriculum combines language learning with modules that deepen cultural understanding. Participants will benefit from a buddy system, allowing them to practice their language skills with Dutch-speaking peers. This hands-on approach, along with interactive classes of 15-19 students, ensures personalized attention and support.

Graduates of this program can pursue various roles, such as language instructors, cultural ambassadors, or translators.
