This four-semester diploma program centers on the philosophy of "learning through play," providing you with the essential tools to design safe, inclusive, and engaging environments for young learners. You will study child development, curriculum design, educational philosophy, and family dynamics, all while refining your professional communication skills.

State-of-the-Art ECE Labs

A distinctive feature of this program is the access to specialized ECE labs, which serve as innovative spaces for you to test theories and develop practical teaching strategies. Whether you choose to study in-person at the King or Newnham campuses or through the online delivery model, you will benefit from a curriculum that bridges the gap between academic theory and real-world application. Graduates of this program are eligible to pursue professional registration as a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE), a requirement for practice in Ontario.
