This bachelor's program in Economics examines how individuals, businesses, and governments allocate resources, covering microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, and economic policy. Students study mathematical and statistical tools used to analyze markets, trade, growth, and public policy, along with coursework in international economics, finance, and quantitative methods. Programs often combine theoretical study with applied analysis of real economic data, preparing students to interpret economic trends and evaluate policy decisions. Graduates find roles in banking, finance, consulting, government agencies, international organizations, and research institutions, with strong quantitative training also supporting careers in data analysis and further graduate study in economics, finance, or public policy. This 4-year program is taught in English at Özyeğin University in İstanbul, Turkey, a major financial and commercial center. The curriculum moves from foundational microeconomics and macroeconomics through more specialized courses in econometrics, international trade, and economic policy. İstanbul's role as a financial hub gives students access to banks, consulting firms, and multinational companies for internships and career preparation. By the end of the 4-year degree, students have developed the analytical and quantitative skills needed for careers in economics-related fields or continued academic study.
