This extension offers a unique pathway for those who wish to bolster their qualifications with 21 ECTS in music education, alongside their primary teaching degree. It’s ideal for those who can read music, are comfortable singing, and have a solid grasp of harmonic principles. The programme complements primary education programmes, rebuilding the music component that is often taught by non-specialist teachers.

This is a part-time programme that can be studied from the third semester onward, focusing on essential musical, pedagogical, and artistic skills. Modules include Gesang, schulpraktisches Instrument, Musikdidaktik, Musiktheorie, and Gehörbildung. Upon successful completion, students receive a certificate, which can be a valuable addition to their CV, demonstrating their dedication to music education.
