Bialystok University of Technology offers a doctoral program in Electronics, taught in English in Białystok, Poland, over eight semesters, with annual tuition of 3,500 EUR. This third-cycle, full-time PhD track is conducted both in the discipline of electrical engineering and in the discipline of electronics, and is open to those holding a master's degree or an equivalent title. The doctoral program is designed to give PhD students advanced knowledge across wide and coherent areas of electrical engineering, with coursework touching on advanced aspects of the electromagnetic field, methods and algorithms used in power electronics, artificial intelligence algorithms, modern approaches to electromagnetic compatibility, electric power networks and systems, lighting techniques, new sources of electrical energy, selected problems in the control and optimisation of dynamic systems, new trends in optoelectronics, modern topics connected with optical fibres, and nanotechnology. These courses are intended to shape how students approach their future doctoral research. The core of the program is the dissertation project, a research study designed, conducted, and written by the PhD student, carried out under the direct supervision of professors from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. Students who complete and successfully defend their theses receive a doctoral degree granted by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. Electronics as a discipline covers the design and application of circuits, devices, and systems that process electrical signals, spanning areas from microelectronics to communications and control systems. At the doctoral level, this program is oriented toward producing researchers capable of independent scientific work, positioning graduates for careers in academia, research institutions, and advanced technical roles in industry.
