Bachelor in Elementary Mathematics Education

This program trains students to teach mathematics at the primary and lower-secondary level, combining mathematics coursework with pedagogy tailored to younger learners. Students study arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and basic statistics alongside educational psychology, child development, and instructional strategies suited to teaching mathematical concepts to elementary and middle school students. The curriculum places emphasis on how students learn mathematics, common misconceptions, and methods for building numerical reasoning and problem-solving skills from an early stage. Supervised teaching practice in schools gives students direct experience planning lessons, managing classrooms, and assessing student understanding of mathematical topics.
