Emergency Medical Care Technology

Tuition is CAD 5,670 per year.

This programme trains students to deliver emergency medical care in different environments. Students learn to evaluate patient conditions, make fast decisions, and carry out treatment plans to stabilize patients. Training covers trauma cases like car accidents and managing behavior during emergencies. Students also learn how to transport patients safely to healthcare facilities or provide care on site when needed.

Students study clinical evaluation, giving medications, CPR, airway management, defibrillation, and monitoring patients. The curriculum uses real-world scenarios in lab simulations that match actual work settings. Students practice moving patients, recording care, and communicating clearly under pressure. These skills get students ready for high-pressure situations that demand accuracy and composure.

The programme has 220 available spots and is usually limited to the first round of the SRAM admission system. Admission opens for the fall session starting in January. No previous courses are required. Students must be physically fit and able to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and evenings.
