에너지시스템공학과

Energy System Engineering addresses the design, operation, and management of systems that generate, distribute, and store energy, including renewable energy technologies and conventional power systems. Students in this field typically study power generation, energy storage, renewable energy systems, and the analysis methods used to design and manage energy infrastructure. Research often extends into topics such as solar and wind energy systems, energy storage technology, and the optimization of power distribution networks. Graduates pursue careers in energy companies, renewable energy firms, power utilities, and research institutes focused on energy technology and policy. This four-year combined master's and doctoral program in Energy System Engineering is offered at Gyeongsang National University in Jinju, South Korea, with instruction conducted in English. The program combines master's-level coursework with doctoral research, guiding students from foundational study toward an independent research project that forms a PhD dissertation in a specific area of energy systems. Students typically work under a faculty advisor throughout the program. This combined track is designed for applicants who wish to complete both a master's and a doctoral degree within a single continuous program. Jinju, located in South Gyeongsang Province, is part of a region connected to South Korea's energy and manufacturing sectors. Applicants should confirm the university's admission requirements, including its English proficiency standards, before applying to this program.
