Students work on designing, installing, and troubleshooting energy systems in labs and field projects. They study renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and geothermal systems. The program includes hands-on experience with power generation, HVAC, and building automation systems. Students apply technical knowledge to real-world energy challenges in residential and commercial settings.

Focus areas include Solar Energy Systems, Wind Energy Systems, Geothermal Heat Pump Systems, Energy Storage Systems, Smart Grids and Microgrids, Building Automation and Control Systems.

2 years / 4 semesters; hybrid/in-person delivery; optional co-op with two consecutive work terms.

Graduates work as energy technologists, energy auditors, or system designers in utility, construction, and manufacturing sectors.

Diploma or degree in a related science or engineering area; transcript and resume review; Centennial English Admission Test; Centennial College Engineering Math Skills Assessment may be requested; English language proficiency required.
