Master in Engineering International Graduate Program- Module Course for Mechanical Engineering Practical Application

At National Kaohsiung Normal University, tuition costs 59,400 TWD per year.

National Kaohsiung Normal University's Engineering International Graduate Program includes a master's-level module course for Mechanical Engineering Practical Application, taught in English at the university's campus in Southern Taiwan. Mechanical engineering is a broad discipline concerned with the design, analysis, and manufacture of mechanical systems and components, and a practical application track typically emphasizes applying engineering theory to real-world design and production problems. Core subjects generally include statics and dynamics, strength of materials, machine design, manufacturing processes, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics, along with computer-aided design and simulation tools used to model parts and systems before they are built. Students in this area often work on applied projects that require translating theoretical principles into functioning prototypes or production-ready designs, developing skills in tolerancing, materials selection, and quality control. Coursework may also touch on mechatronics and automation, since modern mechanical systems frequently integrate sensors, actuators, and control electronics. Practical, hands-on training is a defining feature of this discipline, with an emphasis on testing, troubleshooting, and iterating designs based on performance data rather than theory alone. Graduates with this background commonly pursue roles as mechanical design engineers, manufacturing engineers, quality engineers, or product development specialists across industries such as machinery, automotive components, electronics manufacturing, and precision equipment. Given Taiwan's strong manufacturing base, particularly in machinery and electronics, graduates are often well positioned for roles that bridge design and production. The module's English-language delivery makes it accessible to international students who want applied mechanical engineering training with direct relevance to industrial practice, complementing more theoretical coursework with skills oriented toward solving concrete design and manufacturing challenges.
