Entry to Care

The Entry to Care program at Bedford College is for students who want to start a career in healthcare. This one-year program is taught in English and introduces students to the basics of care work. It's a great starting point for those with little to no experience in the field.

The curriculum covers subjects like patient care, first aid, and health and safety. Students learn how to support patients, work with healthcare teams, and maintain patient records. They also develop important skills like empathy, communication, and time management.

After completing the program, students can pursue careers like Healthcare Assistant, Care Worker, Support Worker, or Nursing Assistant. They can work in hospitals, care homes, or community healthcare services. With the skills and knowledge gained, students can also progress to further education and training in specialized fields like nursing or social work.
