Master in Environmental Engineering, Master of Science (Technology) (2 yrs)

At Tampere University, tuition fees are 12,000 EUR per year, while applications close 2026-03-24.

The two-year Master's Programme in Environmental Engineering trains professionals in environmental engineering and circular economy. Students develop a broad understanding of environmental problems alongside the skills to design and model environmental technologies, evaluate sustainability, and apply different methodological approaches. Specialisation options within the programme include water supply, process engineering, and research. All three themes emphasise circular economy and sustainability. The programme recommends a background in an applicable field of engineering — such as environmental engineering, civil engineering, or natural sciences — and values proficiency in mathematics. Graduates are prepared for roles including process engineer, consultant, and project manager, and those interested in doctoral study may pursue that path as well. Students begin building professional connections during the programme. Starting in September 2026, it is offered at Tampere University in Tampere, Finland.
