Bachelor in Finance

Finance at Wroclaw University of Economics and Business is the oldest program the university has delivered in English, running since 2007 as a bachelor's degree over three years. It follows global financial standards and is designed for students who want to explore the world of finance from the ground up. Alongside foundational courses in economics, management, law, mathematics, statistics, and information technology, the curriculum includes corporate finance, banking, insurance, financial markets, real estate, financial reporting, and risk analysis. Students choose among three specializations built into the program: Financial Management, Financial Market, and Fintech. While studying, they gain theoretical knowledge alongside the qualifications needed for a career in an enterprise or on the financial market. Because the program is pitched at an advanced level, students commonly secure internships during their studies and move into employment after graduation. The cohort includes international students, and courses are taught by both Polish and international professors and lecturers. A graduate of the bachelor's in Finance leaves with professional knowledge of finance, including accounting and financial reporting, financial risk management, and financial decision-making. Graduates understand how financial institutions, including banks, insurance companies, investment funds, and pension funds, together with companies and public institutions, operate, and they can analyze basic economic processes and entities at both the macroeconomic and microeconomic level. This grounding supports entry into roles across banking, corporate finance, insurance, and financial technology, in Poland and internationally.
