    About the Program

Finance and Accounting at the University of Zielona Góra is a master's degree program taught in English over two years across four semesters, with yearly tuition set at PLN 12,000. A graduate of this second-cycle, general academic program at the Faculty of Economics and Management gains in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of economic sciences, in particular finance and accounting, and of how financial institutions function, with particular emphasis on insurance companies and banks. Students develop specialized skills in identifying and analyzing economic phenomena and processes across the financial sector, including money and capital markets. Graduates come to understand the causes and effects of economic phenomena at both the micro and macroeconomic level within an open market economy. They learn to obtain and process source materials in finance, accounting, and related economic sciences, and to analyze them using contemporary methods of financial and economic analysis in order to manage an entity. They are trained to analyze and assess the property and financial situation of business entities regardless of profile, legal form, organizational structure, or size. The curriculum includes elements of practical education intended to prepare graduates for senior positions across finance and accounting professions, in both financial and non-financial institutions as well as in public finance sector entities. Zielona Góra, home to the university, offers a setting within Poland's western region for students pursuing careers in financial analysis, accounting, and public finance administration after graduation.
