Students of the Financial Mathematics MSc learn to implement machine learning tasks in Python and programme in C++; the programme is run in collaboration with the School of Economics and Finance. You'll develop the mathematical and statistical knowledge to model and predict the behaviour of financial markets. Dr Pedro Vergel, a Senior Lecturer in Financial Mathematics and Programme Director, has expertise in devising investment strategies and market intelligence.

Our programme is flexible, offering three specialisms: Investment Management and Data Analytics, Investment Banking and Risk Management, and Quantitative Pricing, Development and Research. The programme also offers interdisciplinary education, welcoming students from a range of backgrounds including mathematics, statistics, physics, economics, engineering, computer science, and finance, or a subject with a strong quantitative component.
