The programme is delivered in partnership with Food Drink Ireland Skillnet and the Regulatory Affairs team of Food Drink Ireland/IBEC, giving students direct access to industry expertise and current regulatory frameworks.

It is a part-time online Level 9 Certificate spread over three years. Year 1 covers the foundations of EU food legislation, processing rules, labelling and supply-chain integrity. Year 2 builds research skills and examines sustainable food systems, regulatory divergence and emerging legislative issues. The final stage includes a 30-credit dissertation that integrates the knowledge gained.

Graduates move into roles such as regulatory affairs officer, compliance specialist or food safety auditor in food and drink companies, public agencies or consultancy firms, and many continue onto the postgraduate diploma or MSc in Food Regulatory Affairs.
