About Master in Forest and Business Management

Tuition fees for Master in Forest and Business Management are 310,000 SEK for the whole programme, and the deadline to apply for the Aug 2027 intake is Jan 15, 2027.

This Master's programme is for students with a background in business administration who want to build knowledge of the forest sector and its value chain, from timber to finished products, and its role in sustainable development. Students take courses alongside other Uppsala-campus programmes.

In the first year, students study the global forest sector, business studies (marketing and value chains), macroeconomics, and wood properties and innovation potential. In the second year, they study sustainability reporting, forest policy and research methods, before completing a Master's thesis in business administration.

Depending on course choices and prior forestry studies, the programme can also fulfil requirements toward the professional forester's degree. Graduates work in consulting, forest-industrial companies, banking and insurance, authorities, interest organisations and certification companies, or continue to postgraduate study.
