General Business Certificate

This certificate program builds or improves business skills for career advancement. It is for working adults and mature students who want to upgrade their education without a full degree. Study at your own pace, full-time or part-time. Take courses at the Coquitlam or New Westminster campuses.

Choose from courses in accounting, finance, management, marketing, business law, computing, and information systems. The program includes a Business Internship. This gives real-world experience through unpaid, part-time work in a business setting. Contact the Career Centre early to join this internship.

To graduate, complete 30 credits. Include 8 credits from a university transferable English course or workplace communication course. At least 8 credits must be taken at Douglas College. Transfer these credits into a Diploma in Commerce and Business Administration or a Bachelor of Business Administration program.
