The General Psychiatry program at Université Jean Monnet is designed for non-specialist physicians working in psychiatric settings. This three-year diploma offers a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical experience, making it ideal for those who thrive in collaborative environments and seek to deepen their understanding of psychiatric practices.

Students will engage in a curriculum that includes both directed and lecture-based learning, totaling 100 hours in each of the first two years. Practical training is a key component, with mandatory internships across various psychiatric services. This hands-on experience is crucial for developing the skills necessary to navigate the complexities of mental health care.

Graduates of this program can pursue roles such as General Practitioner in Psychiatry, Medical Attaché, or Assistant in Public Psychiatry. They will be well-prepared for positions in hospitals, clinics, and community health organizations. The skills acquired are transferable across various healthcare settings, ensuring a broad range of career pathways.
