The Diploma in General Studies allows exploration of courses in the humanities, sciences, performing arts, and business. Classes focus on building critical thinking, writing, research, and presentation skills. The program helps identify academic interests and provides credits that transfer to other programs.

The program requires 60 credits over four semesters. One university-transfer English or Communications course is required. At least two courses must come from three different faculties. No more than 15 credits can be from one subject area. At least half of the coursework must be completed at Douglas College. A minimum GPA of 1.50 is needed to graduate.

The program begins in Fall, Winter, and Summer terms. Domestic applicants must meet general college admission requirements. International applicants should visit the international application deadline page for updates. Graduates may continue to a bachelor's degree at Douglas College or another institution.
