Master in Genetic Counselling

This program is tailored for individuals aiming to become genetic counsellors. It spans two years and combines online learning with on-campus experiences at UTS City campus. Ideal candidates are those who thrive in interactive environments and are passionate about genetics and patient care.

The curriculum includes eight coursework subjects, four research subjects, and four clinical placements, totaling 96 credit points. Students will engage in practical experiences through clinical placements across Australasia, enhancing their skills in evidence-based practice and research methodologies.

Graduates can pursue various roles such as Genetic Counsellor, Clinical Geneticist, or Research Geneticist. They may find employment in hospitals, research institutions, or private practices.
