Geriatric Oncology

The Geriatric Oncology program is designed for medical doctors who wish to enhance their expertise in managing elderly cancer patients. This two-year program includes a series of seminars that focus on developing a collaborative approach between oncologists and geriatricians. Ideal candidates are those who have at least two years of medical practice and are eager to improve their skills in both oncology and geriatrics.

Throughout the program, students will engage in 70 hours of annual training, which includes essential topics such as geriatric assessment, cancer treatment methods, and the management of common geriatric syndromes. The curriculum emphasizes practical experience through mandatory observational internships, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings. This hands-on approach prepares graduates to address the complexities of treating older patients with cancer.

Graduates of the Geriatric Oncology program can pursue various roles, including Geriatric Oncologist, Medical Consultant, and Clinical Researcher.
