Students at the Germanistik - Master programme will explore advanced and extended competencies in literary and linguistic studies. The programme is structured around the core areas of 'German Language' and 'German Literature'.

This programme includes modules such as Grammatiktheorie, Pragmatik, Niederdeutsch, Deutsch als Zweitsprache, Literaturgeschichte, and Literaturwissenschaft in kulturellen Kontexten which offer the freedom to study in depth areas like Medienwissenschaft and Niederdeutsch. Students may also pursue an interdisciplinary focus in the Professionalisierungsbereich where they can engage in various projects, internships, and study abroad opportunities, including a semester abroad at partner universities in Turkey, Norway, and Romania. In total, the programme includes 120 credit points with areas for specialization and exploration.
