GreenBio Science studies the biological processes underlying plants, agriculture, and environmentally focused biotechnology, applying methods from biology and biotechnology to problems in food production, sustainability, and natural resource use. Students in this field typically study plant biology, biotechnology techniques, genetics, and the application of biological science to agricultural and environmental challenges. Research often extends into topics such as crop improvement, sustainable biotechnology, and the development of biological methods to support environmentally sound agriculture. Graduates pursue careers in biotechnology companies, agricultural research institutes, environmental science organizations, and academic settings focused on plant and biological sciences. This four-year combined master's and doctoral program in GreenBio Science is offered at Gyeongsang National University in Jinju, South Korea, with classes taught in English. The program combines master's-level study with doctoral research, guiding students from foundational coursework toward an independent research project that forms a PhD dissertation in a specific area of biological or biotechnological science. Students typically work under a faculty advisor throughout the program. This combined track is designed for applicants who wish to complete both a master's and a doctoral degree within a single continuous program. Jinju, located in South Gyeongsang Province, is situated in an agricultural region of South Korea, providing a relevant setting for this field of study. Applicants should confirm the university's admission requirements, including its English proficiency standards, before applying to this program.
