PhD in Health Policy

Students conduct research on health policy issues using theory and empirical methods. They work on projects related to health systems, financing, equity, and public health. They engage in data analysis and scholarly writing under faculty supervision. The programme prepares students for leadership roles in policy development and research.

Focus areas include Determinants of health and health inequalities, Equity of health systems, Health care financing and funding, Organization and delivery of care, Health human resources and health professions, Health technology assessment.

4 years, thesis, full-time or part-time.

Graduates enter leadership roles in government, consulting, non-governmental organizations, or private industry.

Previous graduate training in a relevant field, a master’s degree or a relevant professional degree is preferred. Prerequisite of a graduate level statistics course.
