Bachelor in Home Economics

Spanning four years, the programme blends education studies with Home Economics. It is organised into yearly modules that combine theory and hands-on practice. Early modules cover psychology of education and pedagogics; later modules add food safety, culinary techniques, nutrition and the sociological side of family resource management. Each year includes a school-based placement, with block release weeks increasing from two weeks in year 1 to ten weeks in the final year, enabling real post-primary experience.
