Hopuhopu Housing Development Cadet

The Hopuhopu Housing Development Cadet program offers a unique opportunity for individuals currently studying or recently graduated in construction or related fields. This full-time cadetship allows you to gain hands-on experience in a kaupapa Maaori-led housing development project. Ideal candidates are motivated and culturally grounded, eager to learn while contributing to a legacy that benefits future generations of Waikato-Tainui whaanau.

Participants will engage in various aspects of the construction lifecycle, including design process support, consenting, and on-site construction activities. You will work closely with cultural advisors to ensure that the project reflects kaupapa Maaori values. This role not only enhances your technical skills in construction project management but also integrates cultural mentorship, providing a holistic learning experience.
