Master in Human-Computer Interaction, Master of Science (Technology) (2 yrs)

Tuition comes to 17,000 EUR per year; applications are due 2026-01-02.

The Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) major trains students to design and build interactive computing products and services across a range of industries — from human-machine interfaces in medical and industrial equipment to game design and applications in virtual and augmented reality, robotics, IoT and generative AI. Students work with current technology and develop a repertoire of computational and engineering methods, including methods in generative AI, applied to practical HCI problems. The programme combines strong technical grounding in areas such as concept creation, interface technologies, algorithms, data and modelling with the opportunity to contribute to HCI research during the studies. Graduates leave with skills suited to working in professional teams across AI, machine learning, robotics, electrical engineering, computer science, usable security and privacy, and data science. The programme runs for two years from September 2026. The programme is offered at Aalto University in Espoo, Finland.
