Bachelor in Human Resource Management

This concentration is for students already in the Bachelor of Business Administration in Management program. It prepares students for a career in human resources in any industry. Topics include recruitment, occupational health and safety, training and development, performance management, HR metrics, and labour relations.

The program requires 21 credits, with 12 at the upper level. Students can join the optional Co-operative Education Program for paid, full-time work in their field. This experience builds a resume and provides income while studying. The concentration does not appear on the diploma but is listed on the transcript.

Completing the program meets the education requirements for the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (CPHR) designation. A B- average and active student membership may lead to an exemption from the CPHR National Knowledge Exam. Over 4,320 HR job openings are expected in British Columbia by 2035.
