About the Program

Industrial Design focuses on conceiving and developing products that are functional, manufacturable, and considerate of user needs. Coursework typically includes design studio projects, sketching and 3D modeling, materials and manufacturing processes, ergonomics, and product development methods, along with design history and theory. Students learn to move from concept sketches through prototyping to production-ready designs, working with both traditional and digital tools. Graduates commonly work as product designers, design consultants, or within research and development teams at manufacturing and consumer goods companies, contributing to the design of everyday objects, furniture, and equipment.
