About the Program

The Master of Science in Information Engineering at TU Munich's Heilbronn campus trains students for the role of the research-qualified information engineer, able to design cyber-physical business systems from sensor to IT system to business model. The programme builds on and deepens skills from a Bachelor's degree in Information Engineering, Informatics, or Industrial Engineering. It covers machine learning, advanced software engineering, and information engineering topics, alongside elective areas in management and economics and ethics in information engineering. The four-semester programme accepts students in both winter and summer semesters. The compulsory area of fundamentals in information engineering deepens core knowledge, and an information engineering seminar and advanced practical course are required. The largest elective area allows students to pursue specific interests in information engineering. The programme also qualifies graduates for doctoral study. The programme is offered at the TU Munich Heilbronn campus in Heilbronn, Germany.
