Information security touches every part of modern organisations, from protecting data at rest to securing information in transit. This postgraduate certificate explores the technical, managerial and regulatory questions that arise for stakeholders responsible for safeguarding digital assets.

Each week you will engage with core competencies through a mix of online lectures, case studies and practical assignments. You will audit information systems, critique best-practice frameworks, devise risk-management plans and perform risk analyses that feed into stakeholder communication. The second module adds a governance focus, where you assess IT security strategy, evaluate large-scale project issues and develop management plans that balance technical and business concerns.

The programme runs online on a part-time basis, allowing you to apply learning directly to your current role. Successful graduates learn to lead security initiatives, advise on policy and contribute to the strategic direction of information security within their organisations.
