About Bachelor in Insurance Practice (General)

The programme runs over three years in a blended format, alternating between theory and practice modules. The second year builds on regulatory knowledge with compliance and advice practice, technical numeric communication, and customer service. The final year concentrates on personal general insurance theory and practice, preparing learners for underwriting and claims work.

This course is aimed at applicants who already hold a relevant qualification or have work experience in insurance, finance or business and wish to deepen their understanding of general insurance. Candidates should possess basic numeracy, strong written communication abilities and be ready to work independently in a professional environment. It is suitable for those aspiring to roles such as insurance underwriter, claims officer or adviser within the Irish market.

  • Mandatory modules covering both theory and practice of general insurance.
