Bachelor in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design

Interior Architecture and Environmental Design trains students to plan interior spaces and the surrounding built environment for function, comfort, and visual coherence. Coursework typically covers interior design studio, materials and finishes, lighting design, spatial planning, furniture design, and history of design, developing students' ability to shape usable, well-considered spaces for residential and commercial settings. Students work through design projects that address client needs alongside structural and regulatory constraints, learning to coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors on shared projects. The curriculum also introduces sustainability principles in interior materials and systems, along with the psychological effects of color, texture, and spatial layout on occupants. Studio critiques encourage students to defend design decisions with reference to function, budget, and aesthetics simultaneously. Technical drawing and rendering coursework gives students the skills to communicate design proposals clearly to clients and collaborators. Graduates commonly pursue careers in interior design firms, architectural practices, furniture and fit-out companies, and retail design studios, and many continue toward further graduate study in architecture or design disciplines.
