The Master's in International Business Management at HWR Berlin builds on foundational business knowledge to develop a broad understanding of international management, covering both strategic and operational dimensions. Teaching takes a project-based and applied approach, with practice-based projects designed to develop creative problem-solving in international contexts. Guest speakers from industry provide additional real-world perspective. The programme runs across two semesters of coursework followed by a Master's thesis phase, structured around twelve modules ending with individual assessments. The first semester covers international business environment, operations, finance, marketing, and personal development. The second semester focuses on international business strategy, research methodology, and a choice of specialisation in either International Management — which includes an international study visit — or Digital Business Management and Leadership, which incorporates a digital business safari in Berlin. Students also select two elective courses within their chosen specialisation. The thesis is written in the third phase, from June to October. The programme is taught in English and is located at HWR Berlin in Berlin, with intake in the winter semester.
