Master in International Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence

Tuition fees are 53,240 TWD per year.

National Central University's International Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence offers a master's program centered on the algorithms and systems that allow computers to perform tasks associated with human intelligence. Artificial intelligence as a field of study covers areas such as machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and the mathematical foundations that underpin these techniques, including statistics, linear algebra, and optimization. Students in a master's program typically build a strong technical foundation in programming and mathematics before applying AI methods to problems in areas such as image recognition, language understanding, robotics, or data analysis. Coursework generally combines theoretical study of algorithms with hands-on projects that require implementing and evaluating machine learning models on real datasets, giving students practical experience with the tools and workflows used in industry and research. Master's students usually complete a thesis or applied project that demonstrates their ability to design, build, and assess an AI system addressing a specific problem. Career paths for graduates include roles as machine learning engineers, data scientists, and AI researchers within technology companies, as well as positions applying AI methods within industries such as finance, healthcare, manufacturing, and telecommunications. Some graduates continue to doctoral study for careers focused on AI research. The program is based in Northern Taiwan, part of a region with a strong concentration of technology and engineering activity relevant to careers in artificial intelligence. Instruction is delivered in English, allowing international students to study artificial intelligence in Taiwan without requiring prior Mandarin proficiency, making the program accessible to a global pool of applicants interested in this fast-growing area of computer science.
