Introduction to Engineering: Imagine. Design. Engineer! Online Course

This course is part of Global Freshman Academy (GFA), which means you can earn transferable ASU credit toward your college degree. Do you ever say to yourself, “there has to be a better way!” Then engineering is for you! Engineering can be done by everyone, as long as you have a passion for problem solving. In this credit-eligible course, we will walk you through the steps of how to become a true engineer by teaching the engineering design process in a hands-on learning environment. This course is an active introduction to developing an engineering mindset by teaching the necessary skills to be added to your engineering toolbox. You will learn to identify opportunities, imagine new solutions, model your creations, make decisions, build prototypes, and showcase your ideas that impact the world. Taught by engineering professors and highlighting industry engineers in action, this course will equip engineers-in-training with skills necessary to compete in today’s world of innovation. This is a two-credit course at Arizona State University (FSE 100 Introduction to Engineering). It is strongly encouraged that you consult with your institution of choice to determine how these credits will be applied to their degree requirements prior to transferring the credit.
