Japanese, Post-Beginners

Tuition costs 395 USD per year.

The Japanese, Post-Beginners program is a non-degree course at Trinity College Dublin for those who have completed an introductory course in Japanese. It lasts 6 years and helps students build on their existing knowledge. The main advantage of this program is that it enhances spoken Japanese skills and deepens understanding of the writing system.

The curriculum includes regular practice of character composition and recognition, as well as cultural insights that enrich the learning experience. By the end of the course, students have a more extensive vocabulary and improved conversational skills, preparing them for further studies or travel in Japan.

Graduates can pursue roles such as language tutors, cultural ambassadors, or positions in international business that require Japanese language skills. They can also work in education, tourism, or diplomacy, with potential job titles including translator, interpreter, or international business developer.
