Tuition fees are 106,766 TWD per year.

Ming Chuan University, based in Northern Taiwan, offers the Journalism and Mass Communication Program as a bachelor's degree taught in English. Journalism and mass communication is a field focused on how information is gathered, produced, and distributed to the public through news outlets, broadcast media, digital platforms, and other channels. Students in this discipline typically study news writing and reporting, media law and ethics, broadcast and digital journalism, and the theories that explain how mass media shapes public opinion and social behavior. Coursework commonly extends into photojournalism, video production, media editing, public relations, and increasingly the practices around digital and social media content, reflecting how the communication industry has broadened beyond traditional print and broadcast formats. Students are usually expected to build a portfolio of written, audio, or video work over the course of their studies, since practical production skill is central to employability in this field. Graduates of journalism and mass communication programs pursue careers as reporters, editors, broadcast producers, public relations specialists, content strategists, and media analysts, working across news organizations, corporate communications departments, and digital media companies, and some continue into graduate study in communication or media studies. The discipline suits students who are strong writers and communicators, curious about current events, and interested in how media institutions operate and influence society. Delivered in English, the program is designed to be accessible to international students who want undergraduate training in journalism and communication within an academic setting in Taiwan, providing a foundation for work in increasingly global and digitally connected media industries.
