    About Journalism

    Graduates are qualified to work as multiplatform content producers and reporters. The program provides hands-on training across broadcast, video, audio, multimedia, online and social media platforms. Students report in the field from day one and can specialize in areas like sports, entertainment, investigative journalism or documentary production. They gain experience in integrated newsrooms and develop skills in reporting, editing, pitching and on-air performance.

    Focus areas include sports, entertainment, aboriginal/environmental issues, investigative journalism, hosting/anchoring, documentary/multimedia presentations.

    4 Semesters (2 Years), Full-time, Hybrid delivery with mandatory six-week field placement.

    Graduates enter careers as multiplatform content producers, investigative reporters, videographers, sportscasters, entertainment hosts, digital journalists, documentary makers, video and audio recorders, and editors in television, radio, digital journalism and social media.
